Welcome to the College of Fine & Performing Arts’ fall 2008 season. I invite you to experience the exceptional artistry of our students, faculty, staff and guest artists.
Our goal is to nurture aspiring performing and teaching artists. Through self expression in exhibition and performance, mentorships with world-class faculty and exposure to visiting artists, our students experience opportunities beyond their dreams.
Central to these artistic experiences is community outreach in the form of more than 200 public exhibitions and productions scheduled for this season. This year we carry on as artistic leaders in the region by opening a new exhibition space in Glassboro; kicking off ArtBlitz, an initiative that will provide random acts of art at unexpected locations; and by resuming school matinee programming for young audiences. And you can count on the faculty, staff and students to continue their work in scholarly and artistic activities at the local, national and international levels.
